Model: HP ProLiant ML310e Gen8v 2
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1270 v3 @ 3.50GHz (4-core)
RAM: 32 GB
Disk: 4x 1TB HDD (VMware VMFS)
Network: 2x Gbit Ethernet (built-in)
OS: VMware ESXi 7.0u3
Dune is another second-hand ML310e located within the Dunelab. It's a slightly newer revision than Wind (and has USB3), but complains about dying iLO flash.
Dune works as a VM host; it runs VMware ESXi 7.0u3 and hosts various "retro" systems for Dunelab, including Chasm (Active Directory DC), as well as some general-purpose VMs such as Dust.
It is powered through a slightly ancient APC Back-UPS CS 650, which can't actually handle the server's inrush current and switches to overload alarm the moment power returns, so the name "Back-UPS" is kind of a misnomer.
Other hardware surrounding Dune:
The main gateway of the Dunelab room, connecting to Dune, Shore, LTEGW, and the Ciscos. It has a 1 Gbps Ethernet connection via the building's backbone (actually through ER-X).
Model: Mikrotik hEX (RB750Gr3)
CPU: MediaTek MT7621 (MIPS 1004Kc V2.15) @ 880 MHz
OS: RouterOS 7.x
A pass-through gateway that sits between WindGW and DuneGW for ~reasons~. It mostly exists to provide DuneGW a backup direct 100 Mbps connection to WindGW (as well as 24V DC via PoE, when the Back-UPS refuses to come back up).
Model: Ubiquiti EdgeRouter-X 5-Port (pdf)
CPU: MIPS 1004Kc @ 880 MHz
OS: EdgeOS v2.0.9-hotfix.7 (Debian/VyOS)
A small but reliable 4G/LTE modem providing a backup Internet uplink for the Dunelab.
Model: Teltonika RUT200 (pdf)
CPU: MediaTek MT7628 (MIPS 24KEc) @ 580 MHz
OS: RutOS (OpenWrt)
